*Liability Insurance: The Sooner Theatre is listed on the National Registry of Historic places, and the protection and preservation of the building is a primary concern. To use the facility, renters must provide proof of liability insurance coverage in an amount no less than one million dollars, naming The Sooner Theatre as additionally insured. Reasonably-priced event insurance coverage is available from several local insurance agents.
** Booking and Deposit Deadlines: A deposit of half the rental fee will be due 30 days prior to your event. If you book your event more than 30 days out, a $100 deposit is required to hold your date.
Daily Rate: $850/day Special Non-Profit Rate: $550/day (Proof of IRS 501(c)(3) status must be provided.)
These rates include:
- the use of the stage, auditorium, dressing rooms, mezzanine, and ground floor lobby,
- a technical assistant,
- a simple stage lighting scheme and a two-microphone sound system with CD, mini-disc, and tape playback capabilities, and
- a cleaning fee to cover the cleaning of the theatre before and after your event.
Mezzanine Rental: The area comes with a conference table and eight chairs and can easily be arranged to accommodate a stand-up reception for up to 40 people. Daily Rate: $150/day
IMPORTANT: A Sooner Theatre Technical Assistant is required for the use of our systems unless otherwise approved by the Technical Director. Renters must be instructed by a qualified theatre staff member on basic operating procedures for lights and sound. Any renter using more than the two microphones provided in the basic rental package will require the hiring of a sound engineer.
